Welcome to UniQorn, the innovative page layout and design program from SoftPress Systems. We hope you enjoy trying out this product. To help you understand the range of possibilities of the software we have provided an outline of the features in the UniQorn Overview and UniQorn Feature List files which are included with the demo application. We have also included a sample document created in UniQorn for you to experiment with. (The images featured in this document are reproduced by kind permission of John Duggan and are copyright © 1995. They may not be used for commercial purposes or redistributed without the express permission of the author.)

  22. Demo Version Details

  24. This is a demonstration version of UniQorn, and is functionally the same as the full version, except for the following:

  26. • Some features of the application have been disabled; these are Save, Save As, Revert,and Export. 
  27. • We regret that we are not free to distribute the colour, spelling and hyphenation libraries with this demonstration version, so Pantone colour selection, spellchecking and hyphenation controls will not be available. 
  28. • Any output will be overprinted with the words "UniQorn Demo".

  32. The full version of UniQorn is shipped on a CD-ROM and on floppy disks. It includes over 70 MB of material, including:

  70. Installation Information

In order to run UniQorn™ Demo you must have System 7.5.1, QuickDraw GX 1.1.1 and ColorSync 2.0 installed. We recommend that for best performance you install the latest versions of the latter, namely versions 1.1.3 and 2.01 respectively at the time of writing. You may find that you have these as part of a recent system update, or they can be found on the World Wide Web if you have access to the Internet.

  74. The latest version of QuickDraw GX can be obtained from Apple Computer, Inc.'s web site at http://www.apple.com/. Follow the link "Useful GX links" from our home page at http://www.softpress.com/.

  76. ColorSync 2.01 can be obtained from the demo download pages on our web site at http://www.softpress.com/.

  78. We also recommend that you have Macintosh Easy Open installed, as problems may be encountered on some Macintosh models if it is not present.
